"Supergirl Volume 1: Last Daughter of Krypton" is part of the "DC Comics The New 52" series, introducing a new origin story for Supergirl (Kara Zor-El)'s arrival on Earth. Awakened after a long sleep on an unfamiliar planet, Kara must adapt to her powerful abilities and find her place in a world surrounded by enemies.
The work features a modern pace, emotional storytelling, and a very vivid art style. An excellent introduction to Supergirl's adventures.
