"Strange Adventures" #1–12 is an engaging and provocative DC Black Label miniseries that tells the story of the legendary space hero Adam Strange. After returning to Earth from a war with the enemies of the planet Rann, he becomes a celebrity, but doubts soon arise regarding the truthfulness of his stories. Questions are raised—is he a true hero or a war criminal? Writer Tom King ("Mister Miracle", "Vision") and illustrators Mitch Gerads and Evan "Doc" Shaner create a narrative that masterfully combines themes of perceived reality, political intrigue, and moral questions. It is a story about truth, honor, and lies—a mature comic book that is visually stunning and emotionally deep.
