“Reign of the Seven Spellblades, Vol. 1” is the first captivating installment of the manga series created by Sakae Esuno, based on the light novels by Bokuto Uno. The story takes place at the prestigious Kimberly Magic Academy, where young mages learn to master both magic and swordsmanship. The protagonist, Oliver Horn, and a samurai girl, Nanao Hibiya, face not only rigorous studies but also the academy’s dangerous secrets and the perils lurking in its dungeons.
This volume features a darker take on the magic school genre, with dynamic fight scenes, an excellent synthesis of sword and sorcery, and a mysterious atmosphere. It is a great choice for fans of fantasy, academy adventures, and darker-themed manga.
