"Barakamon Vol. 1" is an extremely warm, cheerful, and inspiring slice-of-life manga written by Satsuki Yoshino. An uptight, young calligraphy master Seishuu Handa is sent to a remote island to discover his unique style and find peace, but there he is greeted by noisy, sincere locals and a little girl named Naru.
The work stands out for its excellent humor, positive energy, and a beautiful theme of personal growth. A true joy for those looking for a cozy book for evening reading.
